Ben Roethlisberger- Fortunately I started Roethlisberger in plenty of ESPN and fanduel leagues which really payed off in the long run. Roethlisberger dropped a 30 bomb on the 49ers and he really torched them all game. Roethlisberger had 369 yards on 21/27 passing. He also found the endzone 3 times and believe it or not he could have done even better. Had the Steelers not started handing the ball off once they got up by so much, Roethlisberger could have scored 35 points. Roethlisberger played a great week 2 but goes into week 3 against St. Louis who has always had a good defense.
Larry Fitzgerald- The amount of people that benefited from this breakout game was far to small. Ultimately prior to this game Fitzgerald was on a touchdown drought and I can not blame people if they did not start him this week. That did not stop Larry, he broke out for 29 points this week and unfortunately this happens every year to Fitz. He will likely play as a subpar receiver for the rest of the season but will remain hyped up since he scored 29 in week 2.
Travis Benjamin- Who? Travis Who? Benjamin. Travis Benjamin was a relative no name prior to this. Literally the dude was a 4th string receiver on the pathetic Browns offense. They matched up with the Titans this week and fortunately for Browns fans, they won the toilet bowl this year. Both teams are a few years away from being contenders again but this game still had fantasy impact. Benjamin pulled in 2 touchdowns for 29 points on the day. A solid day for him but do not make him your top waiver target. This production will not be sustained because the Browns and Titans will not be matching up each week.
Tom Brady- Brady had another great week and at this rate he will be the best fantasy pick anyone has made. Brady plays the Jaguars this week and he could easily torch them for 40 points. Anyone going up against Brady this week all I can say is: hope he does not score too much. Plain and simple Tom Brady will destroy the Jaguars.
Antonio Brown- Brown wrecked the 49ers and he again showed why he was the preseason number 1. Brown got in the endzone once and finished with 195 yards. This was simply a monster game from Brown and he could keep it up all season if the defense does not start quadruple teaming him.
DeAngelo Williams- Not trying to show too much love to the Steelers but literally their entire offense played well. Williams found the endzone 3 times and accumulated 92 total yards of offense. It was a good day if you were a Steelers fan but Williams’ usefulness has just runout. Le’Veon Bell comes back this week and it appears the DeAngelo Williams magic has run out.
Matt Jones- Another guy that you likely sat there and went: Who? Jones, who’s that? Well Matt Jones ran all over the Rams and led the Redskins to a win. Matt Jones scored 24 fantasy points and proved that he is useful in the Redskins system. Matt Jones is another guy I would not reach too far for, he will not always be scoring 24 points.
Crockett Gillmore- The Ravens tight end. He had a pretty good game despite losing. Gillmore is a legit red zone threat as he pulled in 2 touchdowns on only 6 targets. Gillmore scored 20 fantasy points and now the only question is: will he become another ASJ?
Rob Gronkowski- As always it is Gronk then the rest. This week he scored 17 which was another great game. He plays the Jaguars next week and to put it simply, Gronk will likely have big game. The Patriots will probably destroy the Jaguars and Gronkowski can easily be the catalyst in the slaughter.
