Firing on All Cylinders
Week 2 was a big win in a really big game. The team played well as a unit and scored a total of 139 points led by the top scorer this week, Ben Roethlisberger. Odell Beckham Jr. played great this week and scored 20 himself. At the running back position we saw Jamaal Charles have another good game and Adrian Peterson finally picked it up. Demaryius Thomas played considerably better than week 1 and my waiver pickup Terrance Williams had a fantastic game. All around we busted the previous scoring record of 126 and made the new high 139. The power rankings this week pulled me up 5 spots to pull me into second. I currently sit at third in the standings with the second most points in the league. The current state of the team is great and we are up to 1-1.
Looking to Week 3
The roster should stay pretty much the same across the board with my core 5 (Roethlisberger, Charles, Peterson, Thomas, Beckham Jr.) staying in this week. Tyler Eifert will come in for Jason Witten simply because of health issues and Jonathan Stewart will get the start against the Saints this week. The Patriots defense will stay in against the Jaguars and Crosby will kick again. All together we are the 21.6 point favorite this week and pending a win, we could jump to first in the power rankings if we score enough.

Waiver Claims
This week I picked up Dion Lewis and Donte Moncrief simply because they have been producing. Dion Lewis may be put in at the FLEX spot in the upcoming weeks but I had to start Stewart this week. Moncrief has been producing efficiently all season and if he keeps it up, I could sub him in at the FLEX role. To free up the roster space I had to make some cuts to the team. One easy cut was Austin Seferian-Jenkins who I decided was not worth hanging onto. ASJ had a breakout week 1 but slowed down in week 2 and is now hurt. It was the classic case of week 1 over hype. The second move was a bit more difficult. I went back and forth on who to drop and ultimately decided John Brown had to go. Brown has not been as advertised so far and was not scoring enough for me to hang onto. All in all I think the team is better off with these two players.
