Daily fantasy sports have become a large industry in the United States and globally. Fantasy Football is certainly a top fantasy sport and many new fans do not know who to start. FanDuel is my personal preferred website but other options for daily fantasy include DraftKings. I personally play FanDuel due to ability to get checks written directly to my house and the simple user interface. Daily Fantasy has certainly made my Sunday’s a lot more interesting and it makes it like a new season everyday. This may sound repetitive and just like the commercials but trust me, I did not believe the commercials until I started playing it. However I take no responsibility for losses and always use your money responsibly.
Quarterback
Alex Smith ($6900)
This one was a no brainer for me. Smith has looked good all season minus one bad week. Playing Chicago at home certainly sets the stage for a big game. Chicago’s pass defense has been awful and Smith’s low price at 6900 was way too cheap to pass up. The matchup was far too great and the price was way too low to not start Smith. The Chiefs will likely steam roll the Bears with Alex Smith leading the charge.

Running Backs
Jamaal Charles ($9100)
Charles is the no doubt top running back this season. He is the highest priced running back but Charles plays the Bears. If Charles can get in the end zone just once or twice and pick up around 120 net yards, Charles will be well worth the price.
T.J. Yeldon ($6600)
This may be a shocking pick but Yeldon has actually looked great this season. Yeldon has not gotten in the end zone yet this season and in my opinion he is really due for a touchdown. Jacksonville clashes with the Bucs this week giving Yeldon a good defensive matchup this week. I expect Yeldon to be getting around 16 to 17 touches a game and is consistently picking up yards and catching a few passes out of the backfield. Yeldon is my high risk high reward back. I am giving up my second running back spot to an extent but if Yeldon plays well, I will certainly be winning money.

Wide Receivers
Randall Cobb ($8200)
Cobb is my highest risk and I am really rolling the dice on him. St. Louis has been hit and miss with pass defense but has only given up one touchdown to wide receivers. This is truly a questionable call but his price is significantly reduced from his usual cost. Cobb always runs in the slot which the Rams have not defended extremely well. If Cobb gets in the endzone once and gets a decent amount of receptions, then he is worth the money.
Julian Edelman ($7700)
Edelman’s value will come from his high reception total and his ability to rack up yards. Edelman is currently averaging the most receptions among any wide receiver (only played 3 weeks due to Patriots bye). Touchdowns will be a bonus for Edelman and going up against Dallas certainly sets the stage for Edelman. Dallas is not magnificent against wide receivers and Edelman’s lower cost and high reception total was too hard to pass on.
Jordan Matthews ($6800)
Matthews plays the Saints this week and is my total guess as far as receivers go. Mathews’ value has dipped since week 1 and the Eagles woes have been the source. Last season Bradford nearly hit Matthews in the endzone for 6. This week at home against New Orleans, I believe that Matthews can have a breakout game. The Saints present Matthews with an opportunity to play well and his cheap price was an easy pickup for me.

Tight End
Owen Daniels ($4900)
I have been running with the same strategy each week: Start the tight end that plays Oakland. So far it has worked out for me. Oakland has let opposing tight ends in the endzone 6 times this season, by far the most this season. Additionally the Raiders have given up an average of 97 yards to opposing tight ends and 18 fantasy points to opposing tight ends. Daniels is extremely cheap at 4900 and has the highest upside of any of my players. I expect Peyton to target Daniels at least 10 times and Daniels could easily get in the endzone.

Defense
Broncos ($4900)
The Broncos are the third priced defense this week and they certainly are my starter. Oakland is not as bad as they were last year but their offense still is not great. The Broncos have had the best defense this season and I had to start them this week.

Kicker
Justin Tucker ($4900)
Tucker has been literally the only kicker that did not miss a clutch kick so far this season. Tucker is a no doubt top kicker and I had 4900 left so I was taking best available. Cleveland will not be able to stop the Ravens and if Tucker gets kicking opportunities, he will certainly make the most of them.
